Please come Friday, June 27 at 6:30 pm to
and join Nat Pyper with Paul Soulellis and Alan Bell for the launch of the final three fonts in A Queer Year of Love Letters, whose letterforms derive from the life stories and printed traces of countercultural queers of the last several decades. Nat, Paul, and Alan will discuss their intersecting interests in queer publishing and typography histories. This event follows the first day of Typographics 2025, and all twelve freely downloadable fonts will be available via Library Stack.

A book on this project, A Queer Year of Love Letters: Alphabets Against Erasure, is soon to be released by Inventory Press, and includes contributions from Paul Soulellis, Claire Star Finch, Silas Munro, Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo, Rosen Eveleigh, G. B. Jones, and a new essay by Nat Pyper. Part reader, part type specimen, part love letter, the book offers vital perspectives on queer archival practices, language lineages, and design as a form of protest. Pre-orders will be taken at both the Typographics book fair and this event.
Drinks accompany a live-typed font software demo and conversation.
